The Road to Rollergirl How I Stopped Being a Roller Wannabe and Started Being a Rollergirl

Hang on!

What? End of season zebra meeting taking up my writing time? Here's a picture of a kitten to keep you satisfied while I get my business together.

When you get to the end of your rope, stare at pictures of kittens!

It’s November, and You Know What That Means!

This is just the quickest of quick hits to say that I am participating in NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month, a take off National Novel Writing month) again this year, which means that my goal is to post something, something, every day in November. The idea is to just make myself do it and not let the perfect be the enemy of done.

The group is now being hosted by BlogHer, and I am the slightest bit uncomfortable about putting my stuff on another website when I don't know the people who own it or how they will use the work. So I'm just going to post here. You should join me! If you're up for the challenge, drop me a link to your blog or Tumblr and we'll be like blogging gym buddies.

Here we gooooo...

Almost forgot! (NaBloPoMo)

Here is another placeholder post for a locked post that talks about local goings-on. All will be revealed in good time!

In the meantime, here is a bad motherfucker.

Someone please explain this "Urrk'n Jerk'n as Booty Blockya" thing. At Champtionals, announcers were using it like it was something that made total sense, and I was completely baffled.

Also, is it just me, or does Dumptruck sound like every strip club DJ you've ever heard?

NaBloPoMo (WhaDoThaMe?)

I was just thinking that I wanted to post more in the run-up to try outs and, in one of those divine coincidences, I learned about NaBloPoMo.

National Blog Posting Month (peep the cute little badge in my sidebar). It's this thing where bloggers commit to posting something every day for an entire month. I think I can handle that (and I'm not counting reblogs on Tumblr). That also means that I'm committed to posting before, during, and after the tryout process, which is great, because win, lose, or draw, there's going to be some insanity.

If you're there, find me! If not, keep me accountable! If you see me lurking around the interwebs and not posting on my blog, tell me to get on the stick. As in life, it's easier to TCB if you know people are going to be let down if you don't.
